Thanks to Northshire Books in Saratoga, I was able to sign copies of The Last Book Club in the town where the story is set! This summer, I appeared in conversation with fellow mystery authors Joanna Margaret (The Daughters) and Mandy McHugh (Chloe Cates is Missing), followed by a book signing.
It was great sharing inspirations for our stories and taking questions from attendees who wanted to know what we've been reading (easy- everything!), how to stay on track while writing (harder to answer... it's tricky), and what it's like to swap between literary genres as an author.
Onto the signing portion of the evening, I met an awesome reader who had both Joanna and I dedicate our books "To the President of my Fan Club" which is definitely one of the more creative and kind things I've been asked to write in a dedication. (Thank you!) I had a surprise visit from two of my aunts and my cousin, who brought me a gorgeous orange rose and made me feel like a celebrity for the day. My brother and his wife stopped by as did several of my girlfriends... a huge benefit of having grown up in New York's Capital Region.
