Bio
USA Today bestselling author Joanne Rock turned a passion for writing into a career

when imaginary characters kept her awake at night, demanding she tell their stories.
The author of over one hundred works of popular fiction in a variety of sub-genres, she enjoys small-town family sagas as much as high-drama stories. Joanne has won numerous awards for her stories including the Romantic Times WISH Award, the Snow Globe, and multiple Cataromance Reviewer’s Choice Awards.
The four-time RITA finalist has had her work reprinted in twenty-seven countries and translated into twenty languages. After receiving her Master’s degree in Literature from the University of Louisville, Joanne went on to teach writing, film, and fiction at colleges in KY, UT and NY.
She enjoys sharing her passion for the arts at creative writing workshops, career fairs and with aspiring writers she meets online.
Joanne's love of reading began at a young age and her collection of vintage Nancy Drew books holds a place of honor in her book collection. A member of her local "Friends of the Library" in her teens, she still reads voraciously and widely, with interests in psychology, history, world religions, and art. Curating her extensive book shelves is both a joy and a challenge, but she still takes inspiration from the books around her.

What I’ve Been Doing Lately: I'm excited to return to bookshelves in 2026 with my first domestic suspense story, The Last Book Club. Then, later in the year, I'll be making my first appearance in Harlequin's Intrigue line with an action-packed suspense series called In the Crosshairs. Be the first to know about my book launch party, preorder promotion, and 2026 appearances by signing up for my mailing list! It's been awhile since I did many in-person events, so I'm excited to get out there. First, I'll be at the Venice Book Festival in Venice, FL on March 27 & 28th. Come see me if you're in the area!
Interests: Journal-keeping, life writing, traveling, astrology, world religions, psychology, social history, mystic traditions, Pre-Raphaelite art, the Romance poets, the work of H.D., all things medieval, studies about creativity, personality profiling. As a long-time battler of R.A., I like reading about new ways to stay healthy and cultivate a positive mindset.
